Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support for adults and neonates. You will work under indirect supervision in a high-acuity hospital setting, providing compassionate patient care and collaborating with the medical team.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS/ACLS certifications, NBRC registration, and Texas licensure,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Active Basic Life Support certification.
• Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• NRP or Pediatric Advanced Life Support to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Texas Medical Board license in good standing as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Minimum 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, and airway maintenance.
• Assess and treat adults and neonates, interpret ABG, PFTs, and related data.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Contribute to infection control, safety, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Document care and coordinate with the healthcare team.

Education

Accredited Respiratory Care Program graduate

Current BLS certification

Current ACLS certification

NRP / PALS to obtain within 1 year

Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner

Registered by NBRC

1+ years respiratory care experience
