Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Sun Lakes, AZ, is seeking a Server Assistant to support the dining room staff and deliver prompt, courteous service to guests. The role reports to the Food & Beverage Supervisor and offers a pathway to contribute to a premium resort experience.

The position requires greeting guests, clearing tables, assisting servers, and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced environment while ensuring guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 months’ server experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age for serving alcohol, if applicable.
• Current Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Effective communication with team members and supervisors.
• Positive attitude and productive work environment contribution.
• Self-motivated, able to follow directions with little supervision.
• Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment for problems solving.
• Good time management, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide hospitality with knowledge of the resort and dining area.
• Greet guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.
• Maintain communication with servers and respond to requests for support.
• Work as a team: clear tables, carry trays, and reset tables.
• Assist servers with trays and ensure guest needs are met with excellent service.
• Notice and report safety, cleanliness, or guest concerns to a supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
