Job summary

Lambeth House in New Orleans, LA invites a Lifestyle Coordinator to design and implement engaging programs for residents in Nursing care. You will assess residents, plan educational, social and physical activities, coordinate volunteers, and document attendance and outcomes in collaboration with care teams.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and adaptability; evenings and weekends may be needed for events. A college degree and activity certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or equivalent education.
• Activity Certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make resident assessments and plan activity programs aligned with resident goals.
• Create and implement activity programs with educational, spiritual, physical, social and intellectual challenges.
• Perform daily routines and assignments using department supplies.
• Initiate activities and provide materials, instructions, and supervision.
• Assist with planning trips and outside activities.
• Evaluate resident reactions and report observations to the nurse in charge.
• Plan one-on-one activities for residents who prefer apartment-based engagement.
• Assist with directing volunteers and community service workers.
