We are currently seeking a full-time Activity Coordinator to join our team, specifically focused on working with seniors. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who is outgoing and creative. Previous experience working with the elderly and disabled is preferred. Certification as an Activity Director with the State of Louisiana is preferred.

Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1,700 residential units developed to date, Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes, Inc. and is proud to add their 60-year history of excellence to our team managing over 2,400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities.

A typical day in the life of an Activity Coordinator involves being responsible for developing and promoting a variety of activities that include internal and external opportunities for socialization and personal development for residents. The Activity Coordinator must ensure resident safety and should structure activities in accordance with the abilities of the group as a whole.

We're looking for a candidate who:

• Has a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive, supportive environment
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Detailed-oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Is comfortable using computers and property management software
• Is reliable, adaptable, and ready to handle occasional on-call responsibilities

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
