Job summary

Bauer's Intelligent Transportation is seeking an experienced Recruiter to build exceptional teams across local, regional, and national levels in a fast-paced environment. You will recruit for executives, managers, drivers, dispatchers, and other roles, shaping our talent pipeline with urgency and precision.

You will partner with operations and leadership on hiring needs, oversee background checks and pre-employment steps, and contribute to onboarding and HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a high degree of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in transportation sector preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations required.
• Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting from job postings and sourcing through interviews and offers.
• Coordinate background checks, drug testing, I-9 eligibility, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Partner closely with operations and leadership on hiring needs.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and HR initiatives.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and organizational development.
• Help improve recruiting and HR processes as the organization grows.
• Serve as an ambassador for Bauer's culture and communicate why talented people should join our team.
