Job summary

Montgomery County Recreation seeks an energetic, highly motivated Site Director to lead program operations at recreation facilities. The role involves greeting participants, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring safe, well-organized activities across multiple sites.

The Site Director will manage equipment, enforce facility rules, supervise staff and volunteers, and coordinate with partners to deliver quality programs.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6240 hours (3 years) of relevant work experience as a leader or instructor in recreation activities.
• Education: Completion of two years in college.
• Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist participants and visitors with a professional, friendly, and welcoming attitude.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly looking up and sharing accurate information.
• Set up and break down equipment.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and facility.
• Monitor activities and participant engagement to ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot during programs and respond to emergencies.
• Initiate cleaning and organizing of facility or program to ensure safety and readiness for use.
• Be knowledgeable of and enforce program and facility rules and requirements.
