Job summary

The Town of Minden is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader to help run a variety of programs at the Kahle Community Center in Stateline. You will support youth activities, supervise participants, and assist with event prep and facility operations while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires flexibility, safety focus, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, active setting. This is a year-round position with no benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of rec activities leadership.
• Flexible schedule and year-round availability.
• Position involves supervising youth and assisting with various programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee recreation programs and activities; supervise youth participants.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, and emergency contacts; ensure safe pick-up per authorizations.
• Assist with event setup, supplies, snacks, and activity schedules; operate AV equipment as needed.
• Coordinate activities, train staff, and participate in staff meetings; provide coaching as necessary.
