Job summary

Prime Metal Buildings & Components is seeking a Receiving Clerk to track shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing materials, monitor inventory counts, and check for damages or discrepancies in a manufacturing environment.

You will update inventory records as materials are received or distributed from the yard, assist with loading and unloading trucks, organize shipments in the warehouse, and follow safety rules including PPE while documenting all procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing/fabrication shop preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Experience with inventory systems preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Properly account for the location of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensures that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
• Updates product inventory as products are received or distributed from the yard.
• Assists with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
• Assists in organizing and storing shipments in the warehouse.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Download or generate computer programs to direct the machine for proper operation and specification for the job as needed.
