Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care, participate in team meetings, and help maintain a safe treatment environment in a long-term care facility in Texas.

You will document accurately, educate residents and families, assist with durable medical equipment, and contribute to quality initiatives while upholding confidentiality and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in computer skills such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers, coworkers and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and company data.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control practices.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides as needed.
• Communicate with the supervising PT to update physicians and staff on progress.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Recommend and assist with ordering durable medical equipment.
