Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver therapeutic care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will guide patients through exercises, mobility training, and functional activities to support recovery and enhance physical function.

Responsibilities include executing the plan of care, assisting with exercises, monitoring progress, educating patients and caregivers, and maintaining proper documentation within a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and patient-care abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Current PTA license or certification in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Provide mobility, gait, balance, and transfer training.
• Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
• Assist with appropriate therapeutic modalities and equipment.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
