Job summary

Golden Valley Health Centers seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement therapy plans under supervision, delivering tailored activities to improve strength, mobility and function at CV PACE Modesto/Stockton. The PTA will help with exercises, transfers, and assistive devices in a patient-centered program.

You will work Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, across Modesto and Stockton locations, engaging in clinics, conferences, and staff trainings while maintaining records and collaborating with the

Qualifications

• Valid CA Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and vehicle insurance.
• Medical terminology, basic principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Physical Therapy.
• Awareness of possible reactions of and hazards to patients during treatment, and precautionary and remedial measures.
• Anatomy and physiology and growth and development principles relevant to pediatric/adolescent patients.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist patients in strengthening, range of motion, endurance, activities of daily living, and motor skills.
• Instruct and supervise patients in use of assistive devices and equipment.
• Apply therapeutic modalities as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and observations.
• Communicate treatment responses to Physical Therapist.
• Support patient-centered care and clinic operations.
