Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks an Early Childhood Education Instructor to deliver inclusive preschool instruction for ages 3 to 5½, plan group activities, and support IEP goals. You will coordinate with special educators and communicate progress with families.

The role requires preparing materials, supervising para-educators, attending IEP meetings, and maintaining records in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• One (1) year of early childhood education/preschool teacher, instructor, or educational assistant/para experience.
• Colorado Department of Human Services Early Childhood Teacher qualification (verification letter required).
• First Aid/CPR certification or completion of an introduction class to First Aid/CPR.
• Colorado Shines Professional Development Information System (PDIS) registered.
• Colorado Shines PDIS 3.0 Level 2
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to follow all Federal and State licensing rules and regulations
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor each student's educational program. Supervise students in the classroom. Plan and facilitate small and large instructional group activities that are developmentally appropriate.
• Supervise, evaluate, and maintain records for program employees and para-educators in the classroom.
• Attend and participate in meetings related to early childhood students' IEPs and collaborate with special educators.
• Prepare class materials, manage daily routines, and communicate with guardians regarding progress.
• Oversee classroom operations, discipline, and safety, including activities outdoors and during transitions.
• Write student progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
