Job summary

Arrow Christain Preschool is seeking an assistant/floater to support lead teachers in Infant–After School programs. You will help implement daily curriculum, supervise activities, help with transitions, and ensure a clean, safe environment while providing individualized attention as needed across classrooms.

The role requires CPR/First Aid, background check clearance, valid transportation, and diploma or CDA/early childhood coursework with preschool experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential or equivalent early childhood coursework OR documented experience with preschool-age children is required.
• Current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with lesson planning and age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Cover classrooms as needed while maintaining routines as a floater.
• Support positive behavior guidance and use redirection techniques.
• Observe and document children’s progress and report concerns to the lead teacher and director.
• Prepare learning spaces and sanitize toys and surfaces per health guidelines.
• Assist with arrival and dismissal procedures and maintain attendance records.
• Communicate professionally with families and share routine updates.
• Participate in staff meetings and mandated professional development; follow policies and licensing regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and administer basic first aid when necessary.
