Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2.
• Certification in Early Education PK-K.
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate. WV Cares Background Check also conducted.
• Meet the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a.
• Perform duties as described in the job description below.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement appropriate instruction and intervention for Pre-K students based on the WV Quality Early Education Standards, district's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Demonstrates organization and management skills.
• Demonstrate working knowledge and technology skills necessary for Early Intervention Assessment and IEP Development.
• Demonstrate knowledge of county selected curriculum and intervention for specialized needs.
• Complete Pre-K observations and provide documentation of student progress.
• Participates in staff development activities to improve Standards of Practice for self and colleagues.
