Job summary

Franklin Township School District in Franklin Park, New Jersey seeks a Special Education Teacher (Pre K - PSD/Autism) for the 26-27 school year. Location to be determined. Immediate starting date with a 10-month contract and competitive BOE wages.

Responsibilities include delivering daily instruction to Autism students per district curriculum, applying ABA methods, and data collection. NJ certifications required; prior knowledge of VB-MAPP/ABLLS/AFLS preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• NJ Certification required: Pre K-3, K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher (TOSD) of the Handicap (TOH)
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction to Autism/MD students in accordance with Board approved curriculum
• Apply ABA methodology and maintain data collection and graphing
• Knowledge of VBMAPP, ABLLS and AFLS is a plus; willingness to train the right candidate
