Job summary

The Franklin Township School District seeks a Special Education Teacher to support Autism students under the Autism/MD program. You will deliver daily instruction aligned with the Board approved curriculum and use ABA approaches, data collection, and graphing to track progress.

Ideal candidates hold NJ certification (Pre K-3, K-6 or TOH/TOSD), maintain a positive learning environment, and collaborate with staff. The 10-month contract offers competitive benefits and district support.

Qualifications

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Pre K-3, K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher (TOSD) of the Handicap (TOH)
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction for Autism students in accordance with the district curriculum
• Utilize ABA methodologies and maintain data collection and graphing to monitor progress
• Willing to train the right candidate
• Collaborate with staff to support individualized education plans
