Job summary

The Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia seeks a Marksman Experience Pistol Instructor to train guests and fellow instructors in dynamic handgun techniques. You will model safety and provide actionable feedback across experience levels, while maintaining a high standard of range discipline and customer service.

The role requires leading pistol instructions for the Marksman Experience Program, complying with staff policies, and collaborating with leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in competitive practical shooting (USPSA/IDPA/PCSL) or similar.
• Must be able to pass a pistol shooting assessment.
• Willing to join Scouting America and complete background screening.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily communications.

Responsibilities

• Instruct guests and other instructors in pistol shooting.
• Lead pistol instruction for the Marksman Experience Program.
• Maintain a safe, organized range and follow safety protocols.
• Perform duties as assigned by SBR leadership and staff handbook policies.
• Pass pistol shooting assessment as required and complete background checks.
• Utilize Microsoft Teams for daily communications.
