Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate’s degree.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Current license/registration as required by state law.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and plan of care.
• Treats patient to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
• Utilizes physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
• Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
