Qualifications

• Two-year PTA program approved by APTA.
• Current PTA license in the applicable state.
• CPR certification every two years.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by the physical therapist.
• Train patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
• Collect clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores and health-related QoL information.
• Perform a wide range of tests and evaluations in clinical or research settings.
• Evaluate developmental levels and functions, motor skills, reflex testing, balance, and coordination.
• Screen for orthopedic and genetic anomalies or idiopathic conditions.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Assist with research protocols and treatment development; ensure data quality control.
• Develop and write educational materials.
• Participate in staff meetings, forums, committees, and in-service training activities.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
