Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in treating patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary conditions. You will implement plans of care, progress treatments, educate patients, and help with mobility, gait, and exercises.

You will monitor patient responses, document progress, prepare home programs, and support discharge planning.

Competenze

Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
PTA license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
No prior experience required.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with therapy modalities and patient handling.

Mansioni

Assist the Physical Therapist in treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
Monitor patient's response and update supervising therapist.
Plan for discharge including home programs and equipment orders.
Complete documentation with co-signatures and billing records.
Maintain a clean, orderly treatment area and proper equipment handling.
Demonstrate knowledge of modalities and safe use.
Participate in performance improvement activities and coverage planning.
Pursue professional growth and orient new staff.
Provide age-appropriate care across patients.
