Job summary

OrthoNebraska’s Physical Therapist role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse musculoskeletal patient population. You will evaluate, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life, working closely with physicians and the care team.

The position involves a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with collaboration across departments and opportunities to teach students in physical therapy

• Displays flexibility and adaptability to provide patient education regarding their specific physical therapy treatment needs.
• Ability to problem solve with patients, team and other departments within OrthoNebraska.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality clinical care and customer service
• Establish goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family members and healthcare team.
• Provide treatment services to restore, maintain or improve patient functions.
• Promote and advance the hospital’s vision to be the BEST through department initiatives and community outreach.
• Develop and enhance the vision of the department with an emphasis on growth and program development.
• Promote collaboration with referring physicians.
• Offer clinical instruction to physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.
• Must be able and willing to collaborate with others as demonstrated by good listening skills, honest and respectful communication, and engaging in the process of reaching consensus when making decisions.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to pass background check.
• We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing.
• Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
