Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform evaluations, develop individualized plans, and provide therapy in a collaborative hospital setting. The ideal candidate will hold a North Carolina PT license, BLS, and have hospital, orthopedic, or rehabilitation experience.

You will educate patients, document progress, and work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current North Carolina Physical Therapist License; BLS required.
Hospital, orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred.
Strong communication, clinical reasoning, documentation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations including strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration and motor function.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Administer therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and modalities.
Modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes and discharge summaries.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
