Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our inpatient team. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized plans, and coordinate discharge planning under physician orders.

Ideal candidates have a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program, NC license, BLS, and strong communication and documentation skills; hospital or rehab experience is preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current North Carolina Physical Therapist License; BLS required.
Hospital, orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred.
Strong communication, clinical reasoning, documentation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations including strength, range of motion, balance, and motor function.
Develop individualized treatment plans and administer therapies.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and devices.
Document evaluations, treatments, and discharge summaries.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team; participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
