Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across ages, modifying plans as needed. This role includes a sign-on bonus and requires a current PT license in Illinois with BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Transfers with assistance as needed and maintain safe body mechanics.
• Treat and manage patients with dignity, empathy, and engagement.
• Design and adjust care plans based on patient response and evidence.
• Educate patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluate findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Perform examinations using reliable methods related to chief complaint.
• Document per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screen patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Use support staff per legal/ethical guidelines and provide feedback.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip/Knee program if applicable.
• Evaluate impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions.
• Establish plans of care based on deficits and goals.
• Perform objective testing for ROM, strength, and daily tasks.
• Document daily therapy EMR and charges.
• Apply tape for stabilization or facilitation.
• Deliver modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis.
• Communicate progress and recommendations with referring providers.
