Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

No prior experience required; 1–2 years in academic/large medical center is preferred. Must hold CT licensure and a CAPTE-accredited PT degree with a BS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE accredited program in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• Current CT license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor of Science degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals to perform basic clinical evaluations.
• Provide comprehensive patient care utilizing staff and volunteers as appropriate.
• Delegate tasks to therapy assistants and supervise staff with documentation review.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and billing as per policy and regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated in the field.
• Operate equipment safely and report any malfunctions to supervisor.
