Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Requirements include a CAPTE-accredited PT program with a B.S. degree, CT license, and current BLS. No experience is required; 1–2 years in a large medical center is preferred. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited program in Physical Therapy or equivalent and B.S. degree.
• No experience required. One to two years experience in an academic/large medical center based practice preferred.
• Experience working with children and/or adults depending on the assigned setting; diverse diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluation and treatment of patients in inpatient and/or outpatient areas as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members.
• Delegate responsibilities to therapy assistants and students with appropriate supervision and documentation.
