HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital - Decatur is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehab team. The PTA will help deliver inpatient and outpatient therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implementing treatment plans and tracking patient progress.

Ideal candidates are patient-focused and mission-driven, with licensure eligibility in Illinois, BLS certification, and a commitment to ongoing professional development in a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program meeting state licensure requirements (Required).
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (Required).
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment (Required).
• Board Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and document care.
• Communicate patient responses to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team and participate in professional development.
