Job summary

The role reports to the Instructional Coach and requires a 10-month schedule, full-time exempt status, and a commitment to high expectations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Content area certification preferred.
• Demonstrated record of measurable student achievement and growth.
• Strong command of Tier I instructional practices and evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into instructional decisions.
• Ability to manage large groups in active, movement-based environments.
• Knowledge of physical fitness principles, health, and student wellness practices.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, high-quality Tier I instruction grounded in evidence-based strategies.
• Lead engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, movement, and overall wellness.
• Monitor student understanding and adjust instruction in real time.
• Use assessment data to identify gaps and drive instruction forward.
• Differentiate activities to ensure all students can participate.
• Provide feedback tied to learning targets and measurable growth.
• Maintain a safe environment by managing equipment and safety procedures.
• Communicate with families about student progress and needs.
• Dedicate one afternoon per week to after-school tutoring.
