Job summary

Dakotah Sport and Fitness at Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Prior Lake, MN is seeking a Personal Trainer to actively pursue clients and recruit members into events. This commission-based role emphasizes building memorable connections with guests and driving fitness participation.

The position supports membership sales, safety, and programming, including group classes and promotions, with weekly pay and opportunities to advance through client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree with relevant certifications.
• 2+ years of experience in exercise related field preferred.
• Two national certifications from ACE/ACSM/NSCA/NASM/NETA plus 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue personal training clients and recruit members and guests into activities and events.
• Ensure membership retention and high level of member/guest service.
• Provide on-the-floor instruction and monitor proper exercise techniques.
• Maintain safety regulations and provide program input to assist goals.
• Assist with marketing, promotions, and group training as designated.
• Conduct new client assessments and follow-up to monitor progress.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (sport science, exercise physiology, human performance, nutrition etc.) and/or certification from ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NETA, NASM, , Registered Dietician or coaching endorsement.

Associate’s degree in a related field (sport science, exercise physiology, human performance, nutrition, etc.), a certification from ACE, ACSM, NSCA or NASM and 2+ years of documented experience in an exercise related field.

Two national certifications from ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM and NETA and 5+ years of documented experience in an exercise related field
