Baggett Law Firm in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced paralegal to support two attorneys through discovery, mediation, and trial preparation on plaintiffs' personal injury matters. Within 90 days, you’ll independently manage active litigation files, coordinate discovery deadlines, and prepare attorneys for hearings and mediations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a paralegal.
• Experience drafting legal documents and pleadings.
• Knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail in handling case documents.
• Proficiency with case management software, legal research tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support case strategies (medical records, reports, witness statements).
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• File and manage documents in court and meet procedural deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, medical professionals, and expert witnesses for information and documentation.
• Summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case materials.
• Assist in preparing discovery responses and manage discovery process.
• Prepare case files and exhibits for depositions, hearings, trials.
• Maintain and update case management systems with details and deadlines.
• Communicate with clients about case status and schedule appointments.
• Support attorneys in trial prep, organize exhibits and trial notebooks.
