Job summary

Science Academies of New York is hiring a Part-Time ENL Teacher and District ENL Coordinator in New York City. This dual-role requires teaching high-quality English as a New Language instruction while leading the ENL program across multiple campuses.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid NYS Certification in ESOL and 3–5 years of teaching experience. Responsibilities include instructing students, facilitating professional development, and ensuring compliance with education regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of successful ENL teaching experience in diverse or urban settings.
• Deep understanding of NYS CR Part 154 regulations and best practices in language acquisition.
• Prior experience in educational leadership or curriculum development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous and engaging ENL instruction on campus.
• Serve as the primary liaison for ENL across SANY locations.
• Design professional development for supporting Multilingual Learners (MLLs).
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct WIDA testing logistics and compliance audits.
