Job summary

Mountain View Pain Center is hiring a Medical Assistant to support both administrative and clinical tasks in a comprehensive pain management setting. You will room patients, prepare charts, take vitals, assist with injections, and handle documentation per clinic protocols.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and an MA certification program; BLS is required and ACLS is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalently).
• Completion of Medical Assistant certification program preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification required (hybrid or in-person).
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients according to clinic/provider specifications.
• Prepares charts for clinical patients.
• Performs intake of vital signs with proper documentation.
• Assists with prescriptions, work restrictions, and service entries.
• Sets up and administers injections under provider supervision.
• Enters information into the system per Pain Management protocol.
• Collects and documents all UDS as requested and per regulation.
• Completes Checklists for Blood Thinners, Procedures and RFAs.
• Cleans and stocks assigned exam rooms.
• Adheres to universal precautions in clinical settings.
• Makes appointment reminder calls for the next workday.
• Checks voicemails and returns calls throughout the day.
• Obtains patient records from other clinics and sends as needed.
