Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Lynchburg, VA.

This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on/relocation package and opportunities to work across outpatient orthopedic specialties, including balance and vestibular rehab. You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and document care using our EMR system while collaborating with physicians and insurance providers.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility before employment.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience or interest in outpatient orthopedic care, including balance and vestibular rehab.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
• Comfortable working independently with a diverse patient caseload.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
• Proficient with EMR systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans based on evaluation results.
• Review referrals and patient records to determine required PT care.
• Provide direct patient care per established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Oversee care performed by assistants and rehab technicians.
• Create written plans of care and comprehensive programs to meet goals.
• Implement PT treatment programs and essential therapies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation such as daily notes and discharge summaries.
