The Remas Company seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for outpatient care on a PRN basis in New York. You will design and supervise rehab programs to improve strength, range of motion, and functional mobility, while guiding patients and families through their recovery.

Responsibilities include evaluating treatment plans, documenting visits, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining equipment and supplies. A flexible schedule with rotating day/evening shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or certificate is required.
• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the APTA or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments with physician referral.
• Review and evaluate patient response to treatment.
• Make recommendations to the physician regarding continued or discontinued therapy.
• Document each patient visit per department policies.
• Maintain and care for equipment and apparatus.
• Economical use of supplies, linens, and utilities.
• Provide billing for each patient visit per policies.
• Assist in on-the-job training of ancillary personnel.

About the job physical therapist-Out Patient, PRN

As a Physical Therapist, you will utilize various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. Because this position requires close interaction, you can build strong relationships with both patients and their families. Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important. Ultimately, your unconditional support and reassurance can drive them to work hard and regain their health.

A caregiver in this position works rotating day/evening shifts, from 8:30am5:00pm or 10:30am7:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring the care, safety and wellbeing of the patient.
• Review and evaluate the patient's response or lack thereof to treatment.
• Make recommendations to the physician relative to the need to continue or discontinue physical therapy treatment.
• Provide appropriate documentation of each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus.
• Be responsible for the economical use of supplies, linens and utilities.
• Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelors Degree or certificate
• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or a related international degree
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
