Job summary

PureHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services in a post-acute setting with minimal supervision and advanced clinical reasoning. The OT will evaluate and treat patients and supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants within regulatory scope.

The role includes developing care plans, supervising students, comprehensive documentation, caseload management, and adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
• Valid State OT License.
• Minimum one year related experience.
• Experience supervising assistants is a plus.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care that meets department and professional standards, including evaluation, care plan, treatment, training, and discharge planning.
• Evaluate for, recommend, and educate patients on prosthetic devices and equipment as appropriate.
• Participate in clinical teaching and supervise OT interns/students.
• Complete all patient care documentation including assessments, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Schedule and manage caseload in line with productivity standards.
• Notify supervisor of issues affecting care delivery or caseload.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation and billing for evaluations and treatments.
• Identify equipment repair or upgrade needs to maintain quality of care.
• Attend and participate in in-service training.
