Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required; PhD preferred.
• Current, unencumbered nursing licensure in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication skills with initiative and prudent judgment.
• Technological expertise with LMS, simulation equipment, and online platforms; AI familiarity.
• Ability to create engaging learning environments and manage conflicts.
• Collaborating across faculty and clinical partners; scholarship focus.
• Maintain licensure and credentials as required; keep up with compliance.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing courses (classroom, online, clinical, lab, simulation).
• Provide input to and implement course curriculum and materials.
• Remember to keep students first and build relationships for learning success.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback/remediation.
• Lead clinical learning or partner with others leading labs to ensure practice readiness.
• Contribute to the university through service and scholarship activities.
• Guide and support students and new faculty; engage in scholarly teaching activities.
• Maintain up-to-date subject matter and professional development.
