Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and submit files to processing and underwriting for approval.

Incumbents are expected to spend at least 50% of their time away from U.S. Bank locations to solicit loan sales and build a referral base, while complying with NMLS requirements and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under SAFÉ Act of 2008 and Regulation Z; ongoing compliance with registration requirements.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory.
• Takes applications, conducts preliminary underwriting reviews, submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Follows up to ensure documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner from sources.
• Incumbents are expected to spend at least 50% of their time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
