Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to handle sales and origination in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and prepare files for processing and underwriting for approval.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate, NMLS registration, and knowledge of underwriting for FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA. Travel away from bank locations is expected to be about 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Reg Z with clean record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in assigned non-bank territory
• Takes applications, conducts preliminary underwriting reviews
• Submits applications to processing and underwriting for approval
• Spends at least 50% of time conducting activities away from U.S. Bank locations
