Job summary

First Mid is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator responsible for producing a high volume of consumer and real estate loans. The role includes interviewing borrowers, analyzing financial data, and guiding applicants through the loan process while ensuring compliance with policy and cross-selling products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Strong cross-selling and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of internal policies and relevant laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interview borrowers to analyze financial and credit data and determine financing objectives.
• Provide follow-up with borrowers and assist at various stages of the loan process.
• Coordinate with mortgage processors and branch staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain borrower relationships and referrals.
• Conduct loan closings and ensure all documents and underwriting conditions are met.
