Qualifications

• Experienced educator with Middle School and/or Spanish experience.
• Fluent in Spanish (native or near-native).
• Experience integrating Spanish with other disciplines for units of study at each grade level.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Maintains effective relationships with students, faculty, administration, and parents/guardians.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Demonstrates ease with technology, adoption of the LMS, as well as other technology programs and tools to engage learners.
• Ability to chaperone students on day excursions, as well as overnight trips.
• Desire to coach student athletics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach four classes in Grades 5-8.
• Collaborate and coordinate curriculum and lesson plans with World Language teachers.
• Serve as a grade level advisor who supports students’ academic and social-emotional needs.
• Participate in coaching sports, chaperoning overnight trips, sponsoring clubs, and engaging with the Gates Innovation Lab.
