Job summary

Sandridge School District 172 is seeking an innovative Middle School Science Teacher to educate and inspire students in grades 6 through 8. The successful candidate will implement NGSS-aligned instruction, design hands-on labs, and use data to drive strategies that close opportunity gaps for historically underserved students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Science Education, or a related science field is required.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Science endorsement for grades 5–8 or 6–12 is required.
• Experience teaching middle school and NGSS-aligned instruction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver NGSS-aligned science instruction for grades 7–8.
• Design hands-on labs and investigations with data analysis and technology integration.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners including students with IEPs/504s and English learners.
