Job summary

Sandridge School District 172 seeks a dedicated Middle School Math Teacher (grades 7–8) to join our instructional team. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or Secondary Mathematics from an accredited institution.
• Certification: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Math endorsement for grades 6–12.
• Experience: Prior middle school teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge and Skills: Illinois Learning Standards for Mathematics; technology integration; relationships; equity and culturally responsive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging math instruction to students in grades 7 and 8 using district-adopted curriculum.
• Plan, prepare, and implement lesson plans to meet diverse learners including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and ELLs.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and performance per district policies.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administration to support student success.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a diverse student population and implement inclusive practices.
