Job summary

Brown County High School is seeking a wrestling coach to lead the wrestling program, conduct practices, motivate students, and teach game strategies and techniques. The role includes organizing drills, supervising athletes, and ensuring safety and sportsmanship.

You will manage equipment, assist with game strategy, and support school activities related to wrestling season, including awards and eligibility records.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching wrestling, preferably at high school level.
• Ability to organize practices and develop game strategies.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on wrestling rules, techniques and safety.
• Organize drills and supervise practice sessions.
• Assess athletes’ skills and monitor during competition.
• Assist with game strategy and lineups.
• Supervise athletes during practices and matches.
• Follow procedures for injuries and medical incidents.
• Maintain orderly equipment room and ensure security.
• Distribute uniforms, equipment and supplies to students.
• Submit season awards lists at season end.
• Participate in parent nights, banquets and pep assemblies.
• Distribute and maintain eligibility forms and data cards.
• Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Manage records and related administrative tasks.

Job Summary: Position is responsible for coaching and organizing the Wrestling program at the Brown County High School. Position is in charge of conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. Essential Duties 1. Instructing students in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. 2. Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises. 3. Assesses player's skills, monitors students during competition and practice. 4. Assists with determining game strategy. 5. Supervising athletes during practices and competition. 6. Follows established procedures in the event of an injury. 7. Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators. 8. Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security. 9. Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students. 10. Submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season. 11. Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies. 12. Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records. 13. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
