Durham Academy is accepting applications for part-time Middle School girls basketball coaches. The athletics director and head varsity girls basketball coach will assign the candidate to either the head or assistant position depending on experience.

The season runs from early November through early February. The ideal candidate will have experience playing or coaching basketball at the interscholastic or collegiate level, and will foster a safe, healthy, joyful environment while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience playing or coaching basketball at the interscholastic or collegiate level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tryouts and team selection in consultation with the V Head Coach.
• Help Plan and execute effective practices.
• Create and execute game strategy.
• Drive a minibus to all road games.
• Collaborate with all coaches in the girls basketball program and DA Athletics trainers, staff, administration and faculty.
• Regular weekday commitment of 60-90 minute practices with two-three games per week.
