Job summary

Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) seeks an enthusiastic After School Program Leader to support middle school students across MMSD. You will supervise attendees, supervise during sports and field trips, and help run clubs in SEL, STEM, sports, cooking, academics and gaming. Work is typically Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–6:00pm, from 9/1/2026 to 5/28/2027.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.40 per hour. Strong communication with families and staff, dependability, and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

Desire to create a positive impact on middle school-aged youth.
Ability to arrive on time and stay on site during scheduled shifts.
Strong communication with coworkers and supervisors.
Ability to adapt and be flexible to program changes and needs.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise students attending After School (including during sporting events & field trips).
Plan and lead a variety of after school clubs (SEL, STEM, Sports, Cooking, Academic, Gaming, etc.).
Ensure students are following program rules and expectations.
Create an environment that allows students to feel safe and respected at all times.
Communication with students, families and school day staff.
Maintain appropriate attendance.
