Job summary

Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is seeking an energetic After School Program Leader to supervise and guide middle school students in a safe, inclusive setting.

You will plan and run clubs such as SEL, STEM, sports, cooking, academics and gaming, coordinating with families and school staff while ensuring attendance and adherence to program rules.

Start Date: 9/1/2026. End Date: 5/28/2027. Hours per week: 10–18. Work hours: typically Mon–Fri 3:30pm–6:00pm. Payrate: $16.00–$17.40/hour.

Qualifications

• Desire to create a positive impact on middle school-aged youth.
• Ability to arrive on time and stay on site during scheduled shifts.
• Strong communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible to program changes and needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students attending After School (including during sporting events & field trips).
• Plan and lead a variety of after school clubs (SEL, STEM, Sports, Cooking, Academic, Gaming, etc.).
• Ensure students are following program rules and expectations.
• Create an environment that allows students to feel safe and respected at all times.
• Communication with students, families and school day staff.
• Maintain appropriate attendance.
