Job summary

ConvenientMD LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care. You will assist with triage, vital signs, phlebotomy, medication explanations, and documentation in the EHR.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork within a multi-location urgent care network in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a MA certification or relevant experience, BLS, and a customer-focused approach to ensure smooth clinic

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification or demonstrated prior experience: Medical Assistant certification with at least one year of experience or two years of MA experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (AHA or Red Cross).
• Compassionate, authentic, patient-focused care with a friendly demeanor.
• Proactive and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Trustworthy and able to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Effective cross-functional communication with the clinical team.
• Team player with willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Technically savvy with Microsoft Office; experience with Experity or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients in a welcoming, professional manner and address inquiries.
• Explain medications, dosing, and follow-up care; provide lifestyle guidance.
• Support clinical operations and document patient information in EHRs.
• Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and assist with procedures.
• Assist with minor procedures and phlebotomy as needed under supervision.
• Collaborate with the clinical team on discharge plans and training of new staff.
