Job summary

Mount Greylock Regional School is seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for grades 9–12, focusing on Algebra and Calculus. The substitute will maintain instructional continuity and foster a supportive learning environment during the regular teacher's absence.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, with DESE licensure preferred, and prior middle/high school teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related STEM field.
• Massachusetts DESE Mathematics licensure (Grades 8–12) preferred.
• Strong subject-matter knowledge in Algebra I/II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons for grades 9–12 aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
• Use varied instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress with assignments, quizzes, and exams and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain an inclusive, positive classroom environment and communicate with parents and administration.
• Keep accurate gradebooks and collaborate with department staff and leadership.
