Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC (BBS&G) in downtown Bethesda, MD seeks a highly organized Landlord-Tenant Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our active Maryland matters. This role blends substantive paralegal work with daily administrative tasks and requires reliability, detail-orientation, and strong client service.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, coordinating service, tracking evictions, maintaining calendars, and assisting attorneys and property managers through

Formación

• Two+ years as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal admin pro preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland civil litigation and court procedures preferred.
• Experience with high-volume filings, evictions, or civil litigation is a plus.
• Familiarity with MDEC, PACER, or other e-filing systems helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and file Maryland Landlord-Tenant complaints and related pleadings.
• Coordinate service of notices and track eviction matters.
• Maintain eviction tracking, deadlines, and status updates.
• Prepare court dockets, exhibits, and materials for hearings.
• Calendar dates and assist attorneys with hearings and documents.
• Open new matters and manage electronic/paper files; assist with closings.
• Provide backup support to the Landlord-Tenant team as needed.
