Qualifications

• Dedication to creating a nurturing and challenging learning environment.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, or a recent graduate.
• Valid teaching certification, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pedagogical practices and learning theories.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Communicate learning targets and success criteria to students for all activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Develop formative and summative assessments according to procedures.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom to facilitate learning.
• Maintain discipline per school policies.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development.
• Communicate with parents about student progress.
• Maintain safety and security of students in classroom and common areas.
• Supervise students at school functions and field trips.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and other meetings; substitute in one class per week as needed.
• Supervise lunch and recess.
• Support carpool and dismissal procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on educational trends and best practices.
